The Sign
The sign is double sided showing ploughing on either side, the old way with two Suffolk Punch horses and a tractor on the other. The name is above the sign. In the foreground of the old technique are three badgers among the spring flowers and a kingfisher and seagulls on the other amid the flowers.

The Name and Population
The population was 312 at the 2011 census. It was called Brocle(ga) in the Domesday Book. It means "Woodland clearing by a brook", from Old English.
