Cowlinge

The Sign
Many features to see here in the village sign. The windmill could be water or flour grinding, the wheel for the Wheelwright, an anvil for the blacksmith and a Silver Fox for the nearby farm, all representing local trades and agriculture; and strangely the window of the windmill is in the shape of a coffin to represent the local undertakers. The sign was designed by Mike Hatley of Mackays and commemorates the Millennium, unveiled in June 2000.
