The Sign
A lovely 3D sign of a seed drill. The seed drill is placed in a wrought iron frame, erected for the Queen's Silver Jubilee.

The Name and Population
The village was called Pese(n)hala/Pisehealle in 1086 and Pesenhal in 1228. The name means "The nook of land or hollow where peas grow", from Old English. The population was 525 at the 2021 census.

Other Points of Interest
The village lies on the A1120 tourist route starting at Yoxford. A lovely stretch of road containing many idyllic villages and stunning countryside.

The unsolved Peasenhall murder of Rose Harsent was committed here in 1902.
