Priory Court (Nacton)
The Sign
The village sign received funding from the Enabling Communities Budget Scheme and was installed in the summer of 2020. The circular element reflects the “circle of friendship” as well as the circular road around the Court. The building is the centre of Priory Park, the clubhouse, as seen from the car park. The two curved lines reflect the flowing river Orwell and the leaves on top reflect the woods that surround us. Finally, look carefully, and you will see a monk-like figure at the top and that is the link to the original monks of the priory that once stood here. The idea of the sign was to enhance the sense of arrival to the Court.
