Walsham le Willows
The Sign
The sign has a willow tree as its main theme with an old horse and cart at the base, representing agriculture. The sign is made from wrought iron. I have included Adrian's picture as this is a difficult sign to photograph.
The Name and Population
The village was called Wal(e)sam/Washam in the Domesday Book. The name means "Walh's homestead/village". Affix 'among the willow' added later. The population was 1,213 at the 2011 census.
