Hulver
The Sign
The sign is located on the B1127, Beccles Road at the junction with Jays Hill Road. The sign was erected in July 1992 and unveiled by Beryl Tooley. Starting from the top, the sign has the following elements: bronze axe head which was found in the nearby fields, a fishing smack sailing on the sea and a farmer ploughing the fields in the old traditional way. Scattered around the sign are green holly leaves, which relate to the village name. The design was from a joint effort from the villagers and was made by Mr J. Caton
